David Stein returns for his Ways of Listening program which helps listeners hear timeless music more deeply and grow an understanding and appreciation of its beauty and its meanings.  How does it work?  What does it say?  Why is it so great and so beloved?

MAGIC OF SCHUBERT, Wednesday, May 15, 1:00-2:00pm.  Melody is the great gift of Schubert's music: in this purest art of musical creation he was unequalled by anyone before or since.  His themes were not just catchy tunes, but perfect compositions that might inspire raptures of joy or break your heart, or both.  This one hour presentation will look deeply into a few of his greatest songs, each a brief expressive masterpiece, to hear and understand the source of the beauty in them.  No prior experience of the music is necessary.

Program is free for members and $5 for non members.  Light refreshments will be served.
