Make an Impact: Become a Volunteer Coach!

Welcome to Rocky Hill Parks & Recreation Coaches Corner! Here, you’ll find everything you need to get started as a volunteer coach and make a positive impact on our youth through the power of sports.

Whether you’re an experienced coach or completely new to the game, your time, enthusiasm, and guidance can help create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for our young athletes. We appreciate your interest in being part of our programs!

READY TO COACH? GET STARTED IN 3 SIMPLE STEPS!

Step 1: Submit the Human Resources General Authorization/Release Form
Please print and complete the "Town of Rocky Hill Department of Human Resources General Authorization/ Release" form. (Click Here)

Once completed, please submit the form to the Parks & Recreation Department. You may also email a clear photo or scanned copy to the Recreation Supervisor overseeing your program:

Basketball: Nancy Glynn, Recreation Supervisor - nglynn@rockyhillct.gov 

Step 2: Complete the Recreational Sports Coaching Agreement
Please review and complete the Recreational Sports Coaching Agreement. Once completed, submit the agreement to the Recreation Supervisor overseeing your program using the appropriate contact information listed above. (Click Here)

Step 3: Complete the Mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
Protecting our participants is our priority. All Town staff and volunteers are required to complete the online Sexual Harassment Prevention Training provided by the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights & Opportunities (CHRO). This is a 2-hour online course. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training (Click Here).

Once completed, please submit a copy of your certificate to the Parks & Recreation Department using the appropriate contact above. Your certification is valid for 10 years. If you have already completed this certification with the department, please follow up with the appropriate Recreation Supervisor once you have been identified as a coach.
