Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated ball, much like a wiffle ball, over a net. Nets are provided, but you need to bring your own equipment. A general knowledge of Pickleball is required. Space is limited to 30 per session.
Indoor Pickleball is held Monday-Friday in the Community Center gym. Two timeslots offered based on ability: Advanced Beginner, 9:15-10:45am and Beginner, 10:45am-12noon. Dates: May 2-July 29, no class on 5/30, 7/4-5. Fee: $10.
Please arrive at the start time to ensure inclusion in the rotation. Senior Center membership is required.
Introduction to Pickleball: Come find out what all the excitement is about in the fastest growing sport in the USA. Join certified Pickleball instructor, Ahmad K. Elliot, as he teaches you to dink, serve, return and score. All equipment will be provided. Dates: Thursday, May 19, June 2, June 16 and June 30. Rain date is the following Thursday. Class takes place at Maxwell Park, 60 Hayes Road. Fee: $15 for members and $20 for non members per class.
Outdoor courts are located at Maxwell Park and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
