Road trip
Trips are offered for our Senior Center members and we typically share a bus with the Wethersfield Senior Center.  All trips are first come, first serve and are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your seat. 
    • THE TURKEY TRAIN, WINNIPESAUKEE RAILROAD, Monday, October 7, $164 for members and $174 for non members-FULL-WAITLIST ONLY
    • LEND ME A SOPRANO-NEWPORT PLAYHOUSE, Wednesday, November 13 $152 for members and $162 for non members 
    • BOTANICAL GARDEN, NEW YORK, Thursday, December 5, $162 for members, $172 for non members-FULL-WAITLIST ONLY

All trips will depart from and return to Elm Ridge Park, 376 Elm Street, route 160, Rocky Hill.  See detailed flyers below for more information.

Please choose your bus seat, travel companion and meal choice at time of registration.  Cell phone number for the trip date is needed. Register early if you need to be in the front of the bus.

  • Monday, October 7
  • Enjoy a nostalgic train ride along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire
  • We will make a stop at the NH Liquor Store before boarding the train and a Hart's Turkey Farm dinner will be served on the train
  • Menu: turkey, potato, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, vegetable, dessert and beverage
  • Following the train ride we will visit Kellerhaus for ice cream
  • Cost: $164 for members and $174 for non members
  • Bus will depart Elm Ridge Park at 8:00am; estimated return is 8:00pm

*Lend Me A Soprano-Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Restaurant
  • Wednesday, November 13, Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Restaurant
  • The play is set in 1934, when the clever and combustible Lucille Wiley, Manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company is ready to welcome world-class soprano Elena Firenzi for her one-night starring role in Carmen
  • This unique dinner theatre is a favorite of locals and visitors since 1983.
  • All food is prepared on the premises and enjoyed in the main dining room
  • Dinner includes: 16 Hot Entrees, Salads, Veggies, Dessert, Fruit and Beverages
  • After dining, take your reserved seat in the theatre. When the play is over, return to the dining room for the cabaret show
  • Cost: $152 for members and $162 for non members

*New York Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show
  • Thursday, December 5
  • Model trains and trolleys zip along over winding tracks past scaled replicas of New York landmarks
  • Orange slices, cinnamon sticks, poppy pods, pinecones, and a host of plant materials are used to create more than 140 architectural reproductions
  • The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge and Yankee Stadium are just a few
  • See the gingerbread houses and ongoing demonstrations; stop at the Cafe and gift shop
  • We'll enjoy lunch at Ann & Tony's, a popular Italian restaurant
  • Menu: Salad, Choice of Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Parmesan, or Chicken Marsala, Pasta & Vegetable, Coffee & Dessert
  • Cost: $162 for Members and $172 for non-members
  • Bus will depart Elm Ridge Park at 8:15am; estimated return is 7:30pm
