Road trip
Trips are offered for our Senior Center members and we typically share a bus with the Wethersfield Senior Center.  All trips are first come, first serve and are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your seat.

All trips will depart from and return to Elm Ridge Park, 376 Elm Street, route 160, Rocky Hill.  See detailed flyers below for more information.

Please choose your bus seat, travel companion and meal choice at time of registration.  Cell phone number for the trip date is needed. Register early if you need to be in the front of the bus.

*9/11 Museum and Memorial
  • Thursday, April 3
  • The 9/11 Museum: is the country's principal institution concerned with exploring the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact and exploring 9/11's continuing significance. Multimedia displays, artifacts and narratives commemorate the lives of each and every victim of both the 1993 and 2001 attacks.
  • The Memorial: The twin reflecting pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. The name of every person who died in the terrorist attacks are inscribed in bronze around the pools.
  • Lunch on your own at Brookfield Place, an upscale food court in Lower Manhattan
  • There will be a moderate amount of walking on this trip

*Gilded Age of the Berkshires House Tour and Tea Lunch
  • Tuesday, June 17
  • Tour Ventfort Hall in Lenox, MA, one of the last remaining Gilded Age Cottages. Savor a special lunch and tea in the Hall's elegant dining room renovated to its original glory. Enjoy sandwiches, fruit, cake, cookies, cider and hot tea.
  • In the afternoon the landscape comes to you on a riding and driving tour through the Stockbridge-Lenox countryside. This Berkshires Cottages Historical Riding Tour will highlight how and why artists, writers, musicians and others have flocked to the Berkshires over the last 150 years.
  • Our guide will take us to Stockbridge, Lenox and a special walking tour of the Tanglewood campus, home of the Boston Symphany Orchestra.
