Pool Information

There are 2 public pools located in Rocky Hill. American Red Cross certified lifeguards are on duty at all times when a pool is open.

Elm Ridge Outdoor Pool is located in Elm Ridge Park on Elm Street and is open 7 days/week in the summer. The main pool is 6 lanes wide and the depth ranges from 3 to 8 feet. The wading pool is 1 foot deep and open to ages 5 and under.  NO DIVING IS ALLOWED ANYWHERE IN THE FACILITY.

The Rocky Hill High School Pool is located at 50 Chapin Avenue. It is a 6 lane, 25 yard pool. The depth is 3.5 feet to 12 feet with a 1 meter board. DIVING IS ALLOWED FROM THE DEEP END WALL ONLY.  To get to the pool, enter through the side entrance where the patio is. It is located on the left side of the building, if you are facing the front of the building from Chapin Avenue. Please do NOT enter through the front doors.

Admission to the pools is by pool pass (available to Rocky Hill residents only) OR a daily drop-in fee. Passes can be purchased at the Recreation Office located in Town Hall.


We have a membership-style pool pass. Passes are in the form of a key tag with a UPC bar code for scanning and are valid for one year from the date of purchase. You can obtain a pool pass at the Rocky Hill Parks and Recreation Office, located in the Rocky Hill Community Center.

Current Pool Pass Fees:
Annual Family - $120
Annual Individual - $75
Resident seniors (age 55 and up) get a free pool pass with proof of residency


Family Pool Passes are for up to 6 people at the same address. $5 for each additional family member, up to a total of 8 per household. Replacement fee for lost key tags is $25 and must be purchased at the Recreation Office.

Daily drop in fees, payable to the lifeguard staff:
Resident - $3 per person; Non-resident - $7 per person.

Proof of residency required to purchase a pool pass or pay resident drop in fee:  Valid proof of residency is a Driver's license with RH address on the front OR photo ID and piece of mail with matching name and RH address on it.

Please be advised that the pool will be closing on 5/4 through 6/23 for a pool maintenance project. We hope to be reopen on Monday, 6/24 for the start of Summerscape and summer swim lessons.
