Welcome to the Garden!
The Rocky Hill Community Garden is located at 374 New Britain Avenue. Gardeners are welcome to visit and tend to their plots anytime between sunrise and sundown. Please review the "Rocky Hill Community Garden Gardeners Agreement" and "Garden Rules" for more information. The Parks & Recreation Director will inspect plots on an ongoing basis, if plots are unkempt, the gardeners assigned to the plot will be contacted.
How to apply for a plot:
Registration opens March 17th in order to apply for a plot please register on-line or call the Parks & Recreation Department (860) 258 2772. You must then physically come in person to complete the Community Garden Gardeners Agreement, where a plot number will be assigned. Spots are first come, first serve, so don't wait! RESIDENTS ONLY - ID REQUIRED.
Plot sizes:
10 ft x 20 ft flush bed - $35 (34 plots available)
15 ft x 15 ft flush bed - $40 (42 plots available)
3 ft x 8 ft raised bed - Under review
Extra Information:
Beginning of the Season: Thursday, May 15th.
End of the Season: Friday, October 31st.
