You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves, and orbs. These simple shapes are the "Elemental Strokes" in all Zentangle art. These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles." We call them tiles because you can assemble them into mosaics. Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result. You don't need to know what a tangle is going to look like to draw it. You just need to know the steps. The result is a delightful surprise. The wonderful thing is EVERYONE can create stunning art. No previous art experience is necessary. As you use the Zentangle Method to create beautiful images, you likely will enjoy increased focus, creativity, self-confidence, and an increased sense of well-being. All materials will be supplied.Dates: Friday, April 19-May 3Time: 9:30-11:30amFee: $18 for members and $21 for non membersInstructor: Heather Wlochowski

*Share Your Story - *Share Your Story Do you have a story? Write about it! You've raised families. Had a career. Come from other lands. Served our country....and more. As someone who has seen it all, maybe you'd like to show and tell your story or that of people you have met along the way. Teachers, neighbors, public figures, friends and family who have moved and inspired you.Rocky Hill Senior Services is proud to offer a writing course Share Your Story lead by a journalist and writer who grew up right here in our little town and was part of the RHHS Class of 1978. Silvio will hold a writing class for those interested in sharpening their writing skills. Unlike classes you may have taken in the past, this will be fun and conversational. It isn't about improving your grammar or spelling. It is about expressing your thoughts on paper (Word file actually). It will be something you can share with family, friends or just for yourself. Or....who knows...maybe you'd like the world to know.Dates: Friday, March 15-April 26, no class 3/29Time: 11:00am-12noonFee: $36 for members and $40 for non membersInstructor: Silvio Albino

*Zentangle - *Zentangle The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns tangles.
