Youth Fall Soccer
DEADLINE TO REGISTER:  FRIDAY, JULY 19, 2024
Schedules and Team Placements: Expected Between August 26 - 30  (Schedules will be updated below under "Additional Forms and Files")



Schedules will be posted below under "Additional Forms and Files" when available.  Please note, these schedules are subject to change at ANYTIME.  Please ensure to review the "As Of" date on our files as they can/will change throughout the season.  

PLEASE NOTE:  Next to each soccer division registration, dates may not be reflective of actual schedule.  This is due to the fact the schedule may change at any given time due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather and we do reserve additional field space with hopes to re-schedule practices/ games in the event of any cancellations.  Please refer to the Additional Forms and Files section for each divisions scheduled practice dates/ times as outlined below.  The season is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 3 (Kickers Division will meet on Thursday 9/5.)  Each division should plan for 6 practices, and divisions who have games should plan for 6 games weather permitting.



Recreational Fall Youth Soccer- Athletes
The Rocky Hill Parks & Recreation Youth Fall Soccer programs have been designed to provide our athletes the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of soccer through practices and games.  Our dedicated volunteer coaches are there every step of the way to make sure your child is having fun in a safe and inclusive environment!



Divisions 
Munchkins:  At Least 4 Years of Age Grade Pre-K to K (Co-ed Teams)
    Practices (6):  Saturdays, 8:30am - 9:30am @ West Hill School, Upper & Lower Fields
    Fee:  $75

Kickers:  Grades 1-2 (Co-ed Teams)
    Practices (6):  Mondays, 5:15pm - 6:15pm @ West Hill School, Upper & Lower Fields
    Games (6):  Saturdays, 9:40am - 10:40am OR 10:50am - 11:50am @ West Hill School, Upper & Lower Fields
    Fee:  $75


Dribblers:  Grades 3-4 (Co-ed Teams)
    Practices (6):  Tuesdays, 5:15pm - 6:15pm @ West Hill School, Upper & Lower Fields
    Games (6):  Saturdays, 12:00pm - 1:30pm @ West Hill School, Upper & Lower Fields
    Fee:  $75

  

Juniors:  Grades 5-6 (Co-Ed In-House Team)
    Practices (6):  Wednesdays, 5:15pm - 6:15pm @ West Hill School, Lower Field
    Games (6):  Saturdays 1:40pm - 3:10pm @ West Hill School, Lower Field
    Fee:  $85


Sidekicks:  Pre-K through Grade 12 (Special Needs)
    Practices (6):  Wednesdays, 5:00pm - 6:00pm @ Elm Ridge Park, Miracle Field
    Fee:  $65

Please read guidelines below carefully:
  • Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once we have reached our maximum capacity you will be placed on a wait list with no team mate requests or guarantees of a spot so it is recommended that you register early. In the event space permits after July 19 a $25 late fee will apply per child.
  • Teammate and Coach requests will NO LONGER be accepted or considered.
  • Anyone registering for our league and trying out for travel must withdraw from our rec league by July 19 if they have made a travel team for a refund.
  • Parks & Recreation has the right to reconfigure, merge divisions with other organizations or cancel leagues based on enrollment and not having enough coaches. There will be no make ups beyond Oct. 31 due to the cold weather and start of basketball season.
  • All athletes are highly encouraged to arrive with cleats and shin guards at each meeting.

Communications
  • A majority of the communication for the season will take place via email.
  • Please ensure your household email address is linked to your account at the time of registration AND set-up to receive emails from our department. (If your account is not set-up to receive emails, you will miss important announcements regarding your child’s season.)
  • Communications related to scheduled practices/ games, cancellations and/or other announcements will be made via email.
  • Schedules will be posted online by visiting: https://rockyhillct.myrec.com/ and visiting the Youth Fall Soccer located by clicking the “Programs” link. (This current page, see below)
  • Team placement emails will be sent out the week of August 26th- 30th. If you do not receive an email by Friday the 30th, please call the office.

Division Details:
  • All division’s practice and game days, locations and times are subject to change based on availability.
  • ALL registered participants will receive 1 t-shirt.
  • Grades/ ages based on the 2024-25 school year.
  • All participants must be potty trained.
  • Parent/ guardians are required to stay on-site during practices and games in the event of an emergency.

Cancellations
Practices and Games may be cancelled at any given time. The Parks & Recreation Department will make all efforts to notify teams accordingly in these circumstances. Efforts will also be made to re-schedule cancelled practices and/or games. Please note, re-scheduled practices and/or games may not take place on the assigned night of your division (ex. Kickers cancelled practice MAY be re-scheduled on a Thursday depending on field availability.)
