*Pinochle - *Pinochle PINOCHLE is a bidding, melding and trick playing game using a unique deck of 48 cards consisting of 2 sets of 9-Ace in hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs. PINOCHLE is considered good for memory and focus as it requires players to remember card values, track their hand, and strategize their moves. This actively engages cognitive functions like short-term memory and concentration. A general knowledge of the game is preferred. The first few weeks of the program will serve as a refresher for those who have not played in a while. Mitchell's Restaurant is the caterer and a big thank you to Big Y for their generous dessert donations! Share your noon time meal with old friends as well as making some new ones. Reservations with payment must be made at least 3 business days in advance before 10:00am. Cancellations should be called in as early as possible and anyone arriving after 12:30pm is considered a "no show". No refunds will be given. An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. Menus are available in the Senior Center lobby, in the current issue of The Compass newsletter and below. To register for lunch please call 860-258-2786, register at the office or sign up online at registrations.rhparkrec.org. We cannot accommodate walk ins for lunch and food is not allowed to be taken home. +Low sugar fruit cups are available for diabetics or for those looking for a healthier option. Please alert staff when checking in for lunch +HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF OUR LUNCH VOLUNTEERS who have mastered a smooth transition from disposable products to our current upgraded serving system. Clearing, scraping and stacking our "real" lunch plates, cups and utensils is a tremendous amount of work. You are truly appreciated. Being a member of the Senior Center does not reduce the fee.Our daily senior meal is subsidized by the Town of Rocky Hill and the fees we collect do not cover the expense of the program. BWORKZ - Bollywood Inspired Dance Workout - BWORKZ - Bollywood Inspired Dance Workout - Spring BWORKZ’s (Bollywood Inspired Dance Workout) mission is to bring Bollywood dance as a low to high intensity cardio activity and performance to people. It integrates 40+ dance basics (Indian folk and Bollywood styles) developed by AnupamZ to create an easy-to-follow workout program for adults. This one-hour cardio workout ranging from low impact to high impact is choreographed to be a great stress buster with its soul-touching Indian dance music! An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. Menus are available in the Senior Center lobby, in the current issue of The Compass newsletter and below. Mitchell's Restaurant is the caterer and a big thank you to Big Y for their generous dessert donations! Share your noon time meal with old friends as well as making some new ones. Reservations with payment must be made at least 3 business days in advance before 10:00am. Cancellations should be called in as early as possible and anyone arriving after 12:30pm is considered a "no show". No refunds will be given. An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. Menus are available in the Senior Center lobby, in the current issue of The Compass newsletter and below. To register for lunch please call 860-258-2786, register at the office or sign up online at registrations.rhparkrec.org. We cannot accommodate walk ins for lunch and food is not allowed to be taken home. +Low sugar fruit cups are available for diabetics or for those looking for a healthier option. Mitchell's Restaurant is the caterer and a big thank you to Big Y for their generous dessert donations! Share your noon time meal with old friends as well as making some new ones. Reservations with payment must be made at least 3 business days in advance before 10:00am. Cancellations should be called in as early as possible and anyone arriving after 12:30pm is considered a "no show". No refunds will be given. An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. Menus are available in the Senior Center lobby, in the current issue of The Compass newsletter and below. To register for lunch please call 860-258-2786, register at the office or sign up online at registrations.rhparkrec.org. We cannot accommodate walk ins for lunch and food is not allowed to be taken home. +Low sugar fruit cups are available for diabetics or for those looking for a healthier option. Reservations with payment must be made at least 3 business days in advance before 10:00am. Cancellations should be called in as early as possible and anyone arriving after 12:30pm is considered a "no show". No refunds will be given. An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. Menus are available in the Senior Center lobby, in the current issue of The Compass newsletter and below. This actively engages cognitive functions like short-term memory and concentration. A general knowledge of the game is preferred. *Pinochle - *Pinochle PINOCHLE is a bidding, melding and trick playing game using a unique deck of 48 cards consisting of 2 sets of 9-Ace in hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs. PINOCHLE is considered good for memory and focus as it requires players to remember card values, track their hand, and strategize their moves. This actively engages cognitive functions like short-term memory and concentration. A general knowledge of the game is preferred. The first few weeks of the program will serve as a refresher for those who have not played in a while. Reservations with payment must be made at least 3 business days in advance before 10:00am. Cancellations should be called in as early as possible and anyone arriving after 12:30pm is considered a "no show". No refunds will be given. An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. Menus are available in the Senior Center lobby, in the current issue of The Compass newsletter and below. To register for lunch please call 860-258-2786, register at the office or sign up online at registrations.rhparkrec.org. We cannot accommodate walk ins for lunch and food is not allowed to be taken home. +Low sugar fruit cups are available for diabetics or for those looking for a healthier option.
