Mitchell's Restaurant is the caterer and a big thank you to Big Y and Westside Market for their generous dessert donations! Share your noon time meal with old friends as well as making some new ones. Reservations with payment must be made at least 3 business days in advance before 10:00am. Cancellations should be called in as early as possible and anyone arriving after 12:30pm is considered a "no show". No refunds will be given. An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. Menus are available in the Senior Center lobby, in the current issue of The Compass newsletter and below. To register for lunch please call 860-258-2786, register at the office or sign up online at registrations.rhparkrec.org. We cannot accommodate walk ins for lunch and food is not allowed to be taken home for safety reasons. +Low sugar fruit cups are available for diabetics or for those looking for a healthier option. *Gentle Yoga - *Gentle Yoga This is a 60 minute, all levels mat-based yoga class for seniors that will help you calm your mind, strengthen and stretch your body and improve body awareness and balance. This class is for every body, as it incorporates conscious breathing with slow controlled movements and focused stretching. There will be opportunities to modify postures throughout and each class will end with a restorative posture and quiet relaxation. Kristin has been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching since 2017 and believes in teaching people, not poses. This actively engages cognitive functions like short-term memory and concentration. A general knowledge of the game is preferred. This class is for every body, as it incorporates conscious breathing with slow controlled movements and focused stretching. There will be opportunities to modify postures throughout and each class will end with a restorative posture and quiet relaxation. Kristin has been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching since 2017 and believes in teaching people, not poses. *Gentle Yoga - *Gentle Yoga This is a 60 minute, all levels mat-based yoga class for seniors that will help you calm your mind, strengthen and stretch your body and improve body awareness and balance. This class is for every body, as it incorporates conscious breathing with slow controlled movements and focused stretching. There will be opportunities to modify postures throughout and each class will end with a restorative posture and quiet relaxation. Kristin has been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching since 2017 and believes in teaching people, not poses. Reservations with payment must be made at least 3 business days in advance before 10:00am. Cancellations should be called in as early as possible and anyone arriving after 12:30pm is considered a "no show". No refunds will be given. An account credit may be applied for medical reasons.A vegetarian option is available with advanced notice for those with religious or dietary restrictions. This class is for every body, as it incorporates conscious breathing with slow controlled movements and focused stretching. There will be opportunities to modify postures throughout and each class will end with a restorative posture and quiet relaxation. Kristin has been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching since 2017 and believes in teaching people, not poses. Kristin has been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching since 2017 and believes in teaching people, not poses. Strong and Fit - Strong and Fit - Spring Strong and Fit involves a combination of cardio and resistance exercises that work multiple muscle groups, it helps to build overall strength while also improving muscular and cardiovascular endurance. Core and More - Core and More - Spring This class focuses on strengthening the abdominals, glutes, lower back, hips, and legs either as the primary or supportive muscles. We will use mats, body weight and sometimes other equipment. This class is not always fast paced but can be at times as we work through the different muscles. You will work though some great moves for greater core strength.Instructor: Sheryl Harle
